CURED — an app designed to help you improve low mood!

Thank you for your interest in CURED!

Joining the CURED waitlist allows you to register your interest in using the CURED app when places become available. Joining the waitlist does not commit you to anything, and you can decide later whether or not you would like to take part

Your first step towards supporting low mood starts here...

CURED is a self-guided programme designed to fit around your life — one session at a time.

What Is CURED?

CURED is an online psychological programme designed to help people explore different ways of interpreting everyday situations.

When someone is experiencing low mood, they may be more likely to interpret unclear or ambiguous situations in a negative way. Over time, these patterns of thinking can increase distress and maintain low mood.

CURED aims to gently encourage more balanced interpretations through short, structured exercises delivered via a mobile app.

What Would Taking Part Involve?

People invited from the waitlist will be asked to:

  • Use the CURED app over a number of weeks

  • Complete short, repeated sessions that fit around daily life

  • Respond to everyday scenarios and simple questions

  • Share feedback about their experience of using the app

The feedback you provide will help researchers understand how the app works in real-world settings and how it could be improved in future.

Why Is CURED Important?

Depression affects a large number of people in the UK, and many experience long waiting times for support. Digital programmes like CURED aim to explore ways of making psychological support more accessible and flexible.

Previous research suggests that helping people interpret everyday situations in a more balanced way can reduce negative thinking. However, there is still more to learn about how this type of training works best and for whom.

That is why feedback from people using CURED is so valuable.
